Aaron fondly remembers a speech that he gave in 6th grade. The speech was about death and dying. He is still not sure why he felt moved to tell the story of his Grandfather who had just passed, but he knows that it was the precursor to his interest in the death process. Intrigued by the sciences, he graduated from Highland Community College with an Associate's degree in Science in 1989. Aaron furthered his education by attending Southern Illinois University where he studied Mortuary Science and received his Mortuary of Science degree in 1990 followed by his Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management in 1991. He joined the Walker team in 1992.
He has seen a shift in the funeral business, and he is glad to be a part of the Walker team. "At Walker we all are on the same page about how to do business, and how to make a difference in our community. It's a really good thing."
Aaron, his wife Devi, and thir daughter Abbi participate in many charitable events, including fund raising for the Dakota Lion's Club.
