Barbara’s job title exemplifies exactly what she does – she takes care of the families who honor Walker Mortuary with their trust and allow us to help them through one of the most difficult times in their lives.
Barbara has a background in caring for others. She created the Senior Visiting Program that matches teenagers with senior citizens in Nursing Homes. She also created a local Senior Forum for businesses who work for the betterment of seniors in the community to ensure that they communicate with each other to create a stronger network to help seniors. Barbara has also received certification in aspects of grief counseling through Alan Wolfelt, PHD – a nationally-known grief counselor.
Barbara will meet with you sometime after the funeral. We want to make sure that all of your questions have been answered and we want her to be available to you just so you can have someone to talk to if you feel the need.
