Albert A. “Jack” Bons, 93, of Broadhead, Wisconsin, formerly of Freeport, died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Caring Hands & Hearts Nursing Home in Broadhead, Wisconsin.
Born September 22, 1916 in Shannon he was the son of Henry and Maggie (DeWall) Bons. He married Wilma Lingbeck February 14, 1998 and she preceded him in death.
He was a US Army veteran of World War II.
Albert retired from the City of Elgin as a sanitation department worker.
Surviving are two daughters, Diane (Lyle) Hoefer of Monroe, Wisconsin and Julie Garrett of Elgin; 7 sons, Donald Bons of Erie, Robert (Vicki) Bons of Lena, Jerry Bons of Monroe, Wisconsin, Joe (Jean) Bons of Graham, Washington, Ron (Karen) Bons of Washington, Jake (Mary) Bons and Ken (Tonya) Bons both of Elgin; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 1 son, Eugene; 2 grandchildren; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.

Funeral service will be Friday, May 21, 2010 at 10:30 a.m in the Chapel of Peace at Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum.
