Shirlene M. (Fehr) Morrow Shirlene Marie (Fehr) Morrow of Merritt Island, FL passed away at Merritt Island Health Care Center on Friday, January 15, 2010, surrounded by her family and loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.
Shirlene was born on January 2, 1943 in Dakota, IL. to Ransom and Levon (Lawler) Fehr. She was educated in Dakota, baptized at Dakota Methodist Church, and graduated with a Certificate in Cosmetology from LaMolo School of Beauty Culture. She operated a beauty shop in her home and, for many years, was a beautician who developed a loyal following and lifelong network of friends. Shirlene continued to renew her Cosmetology License up until 2009. She lived a majority of her life in Freeport, IL and held a special place in her heart for her dogs, Patty and Brandy, and her cats, Bailey, Lucy, Rickey and BJ.
In 1995, she moved to Merritt Island Florida. She was employed by Black’s Spray Service and was a Notary Public. She was a Member of The Moose Club Chapter 1544 in Merritt Island, a former Elks Lodge member, and passionately supported anything to do with manatees. She found pleasure in spending time on the boat named “Hurricane” and loved to travel on cruises.
She is survived by her parents, Ransom and Levon Fehr of Freeport, IL, daughter, Debra (Jon) Wenger of Lostant, IL; granddaughters Nicole (Smith) Cody, Ashley (Smith) Gonzales; and grandson Adam (Allyson) Smith; son Kevin (Helen) Morrow of Kenosha, WI: granddaughter Hillary Morrow; and grandsons Joey Morrow, and Sutton Morrow; six great-grandchildren; and special friend, Harry Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Harrison and Dora (Walter) Fehr, her maternal grandparents, Howard and Pearl (Shippy) Lawler, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral Information
A memorial gathering will be held at Walker Mortuary 321 West Main Street
Freeport on Saturday, February 6th, 2010 from 2PM to 4PM, with a Memorial Service beginning at 4:00 PM with the Rev. Jon M. Wenger, of Heritage Christian Center of Ottawa, IL., officiating. A Celebration of Life reception will immediately follow the service.
