Diane M. Carter, 71, of Freeport, died Thursday, July 22, 2010 at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born March 27, 1939 in Freeport she was the daughter of Charles and Phyllis (Wagner) Young.
Diane worked with her family at the popular Young’s Restaurant in Freeport, then owned and operated Diane’s Dog House and then was a realtor for several years.
She was a past member of the Ladies of the Moose and enjoyed many years with the Masonic groups.
Surviving is her daughter, Pam (James) Stichter of Freeport; 2 grandsons, Christopher and Sean Stichter; her cousins including Wagner and Alice Collins of Minnesota, and Phil and Mary Swenson of Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be Wednesday 3 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Don Jamerson of First Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday 2 p.m. until time of service at the Mortuary.
A memorial has been established in her name.
