Berdell "Joe" Lucht

Joe Lucht

Berdell “Joe” Lucht, beloved father and grandfather passed away Wednesday September 1, 2010 at Medina Nursing Center in Durand. Born August 23, 1921 in Spencer, WI he was the son of William and Magdelene (Fisher) Lucht. On December 20, 1945 he and AnnaBelle Schlueter were married in Waupaca, WI. Stationed in France during WWII, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the Durand American Legion. In the early 1940’s Joe road bucking broncos in rodeos at Pecatonica. He worked for Pecatonica Saw Mill, Rockford Screw Products and Rockford Black Top. Joe owned and operated Joe’s Welding Shop in Davis and welded at the Rockford Speedway for many years. He recently accepted the Lord as his Savior. He is survived by daughters Mary (Jerry) Lohmeier of Davis, Nancy (Bill) Lapp, Joyce (John) Anderson both of Dakota, Barbara (Dennis) Bird of Janesville, WI; special family member Larry “Jeep” (Kathy) Sharer; grandchildren Ami (Joe) Barker, James (Kathy) Lohmeier, Bill Jr. (Kerry) Lapp, Kimberly (James) Quisling; great grandchildren Danelle and Dustin Barker, Sam Hiebel, Alivia Lohmeier, Justice, Zechariah, Elena Sophia and Benjamin Lapp, Tyler, Lauren and William Quisling, Katya Bird, step grandchildren David (Kristine) Bird of, Jaci (Greg) Stowe, Jami (Mike) McGinn, Jesi (Rick) Wolnik, Jodi Anderson of, Christina (Michael) Hetzler, Denise (Michael) Clenney, Mitch (Carla) Lamoreux; three step great grandsons and five step great granddaughters; sister Lucille Johnson, sister-in-law Betty Bouton.
He is preceded in death by his wife AnnaBelle, brother Bernard; sisters-in-law Elinor Bouton, Louise Harbach, Margaret Lucht; brothers-in-law Roy Schlueter, Jay Bouton, DeWayne Harbach and Art Johnson.

Funeral Information

Visitation will be Friday 4pm until 7pm at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota. Funeral service will be 11 am Saturday at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home with Pastor Glen Williamson of Crossroads Community Church officiating. Burial will be in the Davis Cemetery.
