Cynthia Sue Kostenbader, 64, of Freeport, died Sunday August 24, 2014, at Serenity Hospice & Home Center in Oregon.
Born January 27, 1950 in Freeport she was the daughter of Roland and Anna (Weegens) Graff Sr. She married Robert D. Kostenbader, Jr. March 18, 1968.
Cynthia worked at Honeywell in Freeport for over 30 years. Her memberships included Immanuel Lutheran Church and Ladies of the Moose.
Surviving are her husband, Robert of Freeport; one son, Michael T. (Heather Brattrud) Kostenbader of Freeport; her grandchildren, Joshua M. (Fiancé, Kelsey Robinson) Kostenbader, Jessica Kostenbader, and Aubryanna (Evan) Washburn; one great granddaughter, Ellaina Kostenbader; one great grandson Tobin Washburn due in October, her sisters, Darlene Keith, Dorothy (Delmer) Strohecker, Mary (Richard) Thompson, Diane Schlamp all of Freeport, Sandy (Marv) DeBoer of Apple River; her sister in-laws, Shirley (James) Nelson, Cheryl (Mike) Timpane; her brother-in-laws, Phillip Kostenbader and Kenneth (Marlene) Kostenbader, Sr.; many nieces, nephews, great great nieces and nephews; her good friends, Tad & Jaime Smith, and Tawney Kostenbader.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, father-in-law, brothers, sisters, sister-in-laws, and brother in-laws.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Walker Mortuary where at 6:30 p.m. there will be a memorial service conducted by Ladies of the Moose.
A memorial in her name has been established.
