Obituary
Agnes K. Peters, 85, of Freeport died Tuesday April 27, 2004 at the Provena St. Joseph Nursing Home. She was born August 8, 1918 in Freeport to Clarence and Myrtle (Winters) Brown. On July 5, 1966 she married Richard J. Peters in Galesburg, Illinois. He died in 1991.
She worked for Burgess Battery for many years and was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Freeport.
She is survived by one sister Betty Hand of Ames, IA; one niece Linda (John) Dunleavy of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and one nephew Marc Hand of Ames, IA..
Preceding her in death are her husband and parents.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Walker Mortuary with the Reverend Stephen Precht of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church officiating.
Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum.
