Dakota-Albert M. Bilgri, 68, of Dakota, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born May 11, 1938 in Argyle, Wisconsin, he was the son of Joseph and Anna (Hummel) Bilgri. He married Sandra S. Rinehart June 11, 1960.
He served in the U. S. Army Airborne from 1956 to 1959.
A farmer, he also worked at Micro Switch for 39 years retiring in 1998.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Albert was on the Buckeye Cemetery board and was a past board member of the Buckeye Township.
Surviving is his wife, Sandra of Dakota; one daughter, Diane K. (Kenneth) Fiedler of Lena; two sons, Thomas A. (Karen) Bilgri of Naperville and James E. (Barbara) Bilgri of Bourbonnais; nine grandchildren, Dorthea, William, Grant, and Ava Fiedler, Nicholas, Lauren, Megan, Hannah, and Carly Bilgri; 4 brothers, Alois (Carol) Bilgri of Scales Mound, Rudolph (Sandra) Bilgri of Orangeville, Bernard Bilgri of Columbus, Georgia, and David (Jan) Bilgri of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; his sister in-law, Larry Bilgri of Houston, Texas.
His parents; one brother, Joseph Jr.; and one sister, Gertrude preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be Monday 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Reverend John Cahill officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Sunday 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
There will be a prayer service Sunday 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
