Alfred Altfillisch, 91, of Elizabeth, died Saturday, February 2, 2008, at Elizabeth Nursing Home in Elizabeth.
Born February 10, 1916 in Gilford Township he was the son of Mathias and Della (Saam) Altfillisch. He married Birdena Trezona in 1936 and she died in 1972. He married Betty Holland in 1974 and she died in 2004.
Alfred was a retired farmer.
Surviving are three sisters, Evelyn (Al Lockley) Harney of Denver, Colorado, Olive Bussan of Galena, and Margie Gaber of Santa Maria, CA; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews; two step-sons, Larry Holland of Rockford and Rex Holland of Forreston; one step-daughter, Penny Holland of Freeport.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, 2 sisters, Adaline Ryder and Marie Cruz; 3 brothers, Mathias Altfillisch, Clarence Altfillisch, and Eugene Altfillisch.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be no visitation or funeral.
Private interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Galena at a later date.
