Alice R. McCulloch, 97, of Freeport, died Sunday, August 1, 2004, at Parkview Home.
Born September 10, 1906 in Freeport she was the daughter of William and Kathryn (Sandrock) Kampmeier. She married John Rutledge August 13, 1927 and he died April 5, 1983. She married Emerson "Mac" G. McCulloch December 7, 1985 and he died April 9, 2003.
She was a lifetime member of St. John United Church of Christ and a member of Eastern Star.
She worked at Freeport Printing and then went to St. Francis Hospital, and then to Deaconess Hospital before retiring.
She enjoyed decorating and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her nieces Betty Wessel of Freeport, Lynn Clark of Hartsville, Tennessee, Norma (Doug) Frater of Richmond, California, and Jean (Jim) Pope, of Medford, Oregon; 1 nephew, David Crockett of Fair Oaks, California; step-son, Joel (Kaye) McCulloch of Grafton, Wisconsin; 1 step daughter in-law, Marcia McCulloch of San Diego, California; 4 step grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild; Great-nephews, Dan (Pamela) Wessel of Freeport, Doug (Debbie) Wessel of Hayword, Wisconsin; Steve (Mary) Clark of Lacrosse, Wisconsin, James (Rhonda) Pope and Dennis (Lisa) Pope both of Oregson; Great Nieces, Sandra (Dr. Dennis) Maves of Evergreen, Colorado, Lisa (Matthew) Steva of DeForest, Wisconsin, Judy (Mark) Abbotoy of Hartsville, Tennessee; several great great nieces and great great nephews;
Her parents; husbands; 1 adopted daughter, Delores Rotta, 1 step-son, and one great nephew, Tom Wessel preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John United Church of Christ with Reverend Donnley Dutcher officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Thursday 10 a.m. until time of service at St. John United Church of Christ.
