Alice K. Mitchell 86, of Freeport, died Monday, August 1, 2016 at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born August 19, 1929 in Pecatonica she was the daughter of George and Lena (Suttman) Viel. She married Wilbur Mitchell May 18, 1949.
Alice worked for and retired from Economy Fire and Casualty Insurance Company.
She attended Park Hills Evangelical Free Church.
Surviving are her husband, Wilbur of Freeport; her children, Joanne (Jim) Bamberg of Ridott and Joyce (Rick) Giles of Freeport; 2 grandchildren, Kristin (Dan) VanHouse of Minnesota and Allison Bamberg of Ridott; 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 sisters; and her grandson, Jason Giles.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2016 in the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
