Freeport: Angelo N. Lasco, 69, of Freeport died Sunday April 3, 2005 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford after a brief illness. Born June 19, 1935 in Freeport he was the son of Hector and Carrie (Balsamo) Losco. On June 25, 1955 he married Judith Cramer in Freeport. Angelo's passion throughout his life was music. He was a professional Jazz Pianist most of his life. He played piano at Ross's Supper Club in Rockford for 26 years some of the people he played with were Vince Laloggia, Al Polluzzi, John Parraso, Vince Castronovo, Mike Vaccarello, Bud Walters and Gene Wysong. He also played with the late Pete Quinto, Rod Secoy and Tony Castronovo. During theses times he spent nine months on the road with the Dozier Boys, he played for Hugh Hefner in Peoria and at Hormel's Mansion in Austin, MN. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church; he worked at Cub Foods in Freeport until his time of death. He was an avid Chicago Cub and Bear Fan, a great cook, he had a wonderful sense of humor, and he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Angelo will be deeply missed by his wife Judy of Freeport, four wonderful sons, Marty (Barb) Lasco of Scioto Mills, Barry (Teresa) Lasco of Freeport, Greg ( Cindy) Lasco of Freeport and Chris (Mia) Lasco of Albuquerque, NM, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, two brothers, Nick (Vera) Losco, and John (Darlene) Losco both of Freeport. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Burt Absalon officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. With a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
