Freeport-Anna Pauline Kasten, 98, of Freeport, died Wednesday October 22, 2003 at Parkview Home.
Born July 20, 1905 in Krakow, Austria she was the daughter of Bernard and Anna (Labzik) Badura. She married Lester H. Kasten on October 20, 1926 and he died December 20, 1992.
A life long member and past Treasurer of St. John United Church of Christ she was also a member of the Dorcas Class at church.
Surviving are one daughter, Elizabeth "Molly" Verity of Varna, Illinois; one son, Karl (Nora) Kasten of Naples, Florida; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Jean; four brothers; three sisters.
Funeral service will be Tuesday 11 a.m. at Parkview Home with Reverend Donnley Dutcher of St. John United Church of Christ and Dr. Gerald Robey of Parkview Home officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial has been established for St. John United Church of Christ or the Charity of your choice.
