Obituary

Freeport-Anton "Tony" Rose, 67, of Freeport, died Saturday September 6, 2003 at Freeport Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Born September 29, 1935 in Lone Rock Twp, Wisconsin he was the son of Anton and Winnie (Rulsted) Rose Sr. He married Betty Roach October 20, 1956 in Freeport.
He worked a Jacobs Cooperage Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Inner City Box for 9 years in Freeport, and then did construction work in the area.
An avid fisherman he enjoyed riding around looking at wild life.
Surviving are his wife, Betty of Freeport; two daughters, Bonita (T.J.) Lipps of Ridott and Sharon Buss of Freeport; three sons, Ronald (Lisa) Rose and Derek Rose both of Orangeville, and David ( Sherry Fransen) Rose of Freeport; three sisters, Marcella (Hugh) Weaver of Clinton, Iowa Betty Nacriner of Bloomington, Wisconsin and Kathryn Hardy; three brothers, Lester Rose of Washington, Chester Rose of Soldier Grove, Wisconsin, and Richard Rose of Wesby, Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; four brothers.
Funeral service and internment will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Peace at Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum with the Reverend Ken Carver of First Baptist Church in Monroe, Wisconsin officiating.
Friends may call Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
