Arliethe Laurel Craig, 90, of Freeport, died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Manor Court in Freeport.
Born July 3, 1917 in Freeport she was the daughter of Charles and Netta (Brauhn) Mensenkamp. She married Eugene Biesemeier in February of 1943. He was killed in action serving his country in the European Theatre in the summer of 1944. She married Charles Joseph Craig January 2, 1953 and he died July 24, 2001.
She was a Member of Embury United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Carol (Robert) Blomberg Aalund of Elgin; her son, Richard (Pauline) Craig of Mt. Carroll; four grandchildren, Erick Blomberg of Ames, Iowa, Ben and Mark Blomberg; and Michele (Luke) Munton all of Peoria ; one sister, Carol Lutz of Green Valley, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; one sister; and one brother.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorial service will be Tuesday 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum with Reverend William H. Blomberg officiating.
Internment of her cremated remains will be Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday 2 p.m. until time of service in the Chapel of Peace.
Memorials may be made to the FHN Hospice or Manor Court in Freeport.
