Arthur L. "Art" Hauger, 94, formerly of Freeport, died May 2, 2016, at Brookdale Place in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Born September 29, 1921 in Sterling, Illinois he was the son of Lemuel and Maude (Fike) Hauger. He married Doris Steele November 1, 1941 and she preceded him in death February 26, 2012. Also, preceding him in death were 2 sisters, Ruth Summers of Elgin, Illinois and Helen Johansen of Columbus, Ohio

Art was a car salesman for Meyers Ford Sales in Freeport for 25 years having sold over 7400 cars.

Surviving are his children, Richard (Joann) Hauger of Tempe, Arizona and Michael (Judy) Hauger of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his sister, Ruth Summers of Schaumburg, Illinois; 3 grandchildren, Jodi, Todd, and Alex; 4 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandsons.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Interment of his cremated remains will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. There will be no funeral service
