Avis L. Fisher, age 93 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020. She was born January 18, 1927 in Winslow, IL; the daughter of Harold R. and Gladys R. (Stephenson) Kline. Avis worked at MicroSwitch in Freeport for 31 years. She enjoyed fishing and vacationing in Minnesota.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise R. "Punky" Smith of Freeport; grandsons, Jeremy H. Smith, James C. Smith, and granddaughter Corie L. Smith all of Freeport; great grandchildren, Garrus Smith, Tristan Smith, and Oliver Smith; and brother, Galen H. Kline of Cedarville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruth Munz and Iris Kraft; and brothers, James R. Kline and Richard A. Kline.

Her family would like to thank FHN Hospice for their wonderful care. Cremation rites have been accorded. Per her wish, no service will be held at this time. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Condolences may be shared at www.walkermortuary.com.
