Cedarville-Barbara Ann Beam, 73, of Cedarville, died Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at Hospice Care in Madison, Wisconsin after a sudden illness.
Born February 28, 1931 in Freeport, she was the daughter of Robert and Gladys (Adamson) Baldwin.
Barbara graduated from Freeport High School in 1949.
On June 21, 1952 in Freeport, Barb became the loving and faithful wife of Ronald H. Beam.
They moved to their present home in Cedarville in 1956 where she enjoyed homemaking, gardening, and collecting antiques.
She was an active member of Park Hills Evangelical Free Church since 1973.
She worked in various retail stores in downtown Freeport, the most recent of which was Lillian's Dress Shop.
Barb was a truly loving mother, adored by her grandchildren, and always there for her family. She remained loyal to her many friends for life. Her contagious smile and infectious laugh will never be forgotten.
Surviving are her husband, Ronald of Cedarville; 3 daughters, Wendy J. (Bill) Schmidt of Blanchardville, WI, Jody L. (Stan) Petta of Freeport, and Rhonda L. (Bruce) Allen of Rockford; sister, Shirley (Jim) Asher of Dayton, OH; brother, Bob (Carla) Baldwin of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Leah Schmidt, of Los Angeles, CA, Brandon and Derek Schmidt of Tucson, AZ, Amber Davis of Freeport, Jenna Davis of Fort Collins, CO, Beau, Cassie, and Chris Petta of Freeport, and Griffin Allen of Rockford; daughter- in-law, Jodi Beam of Cedarville; step-mother, Isabel Baldwin of Freeport; many nieces and nephews.
Her parents and one son, Jeffrey R. Beam preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be Monday 11 a.m. at Park Hills Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Cliff Gilliland officiating and Pastors Steve Carter and Tom McClellan assisting. Burial will be in the Cedarville Cemetery.
A luncheon will be held at the church for family and friends following the committal service at the cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
