Barbara M. Heywood, 58, of Freeport passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at FHN Memorial Hospital Freeport. Born June 27, 1952 in Freeport she was the daughter of Everett J. and Theora M. (Borchardt) Huenefeld. She was a1970 graduate of Dakota High School. For many years she worked for the Baileyville Co-Op. Barbs memberships include Charter member of the Indian Grove Country Church at Rock City, American Shetland Pony Club, Central States Pony Association, United Suffolk Sheep Association and was a Stephenson County Fair Sheep Superintendent. She won various sheep and pony awards at the local, state and national levels. She was an avid Dakota sports fan and of the World Champion Green Bay Packers. Surviving are her Mother of Freeport; son Aaron Heywood of Freeport; Three brothers Gary (Pam) Huenefeld of Rock City, David (Chris) Huenefeld of Freeport, Jon (Bonnie) Huenefeld of Freeport; her dog Spook , she also leaves to cherish her memory two nieces Emily Huenefeld of Madison, WI, Ella Huenefeld of Freeport; four nephews Michael, Steven, Eric Huenefeld all of Freeport and Matthew Huenefeld of Rock City who she enthusiastically supported in all their activities;. She is preceded in death by her father, nephews Jeff and Kyle Huenefeld.
