Barbara O. Perry, 81, of Freeport died Thursday February 17, 2011 at FHN Memorial Hospital Freeport. Born February 23, 1929 in Danville, IL she was the daughter of Elmer and Frances (Wells) Olson. She married Robert Perry June 25, 1950 in Kewanee Methodist Church. Barbara worked for Economy Fire and Casualty as a secretary for 10years, Crum and Forester until they closed in 1992 and finally at the Meadow Ridge Apartments in the office. She was a member of Embury United Methodist Church for over 50 yrs., Pink Lady at FHN Memorial Hospital, Northwest Illinois Rock Club, United Methodist Women, and a past member of ABWA Lamplighter Chapter. Surviving are her husband of Freeport, son Dr. Michael (Susan) Perry of Freeport; daughter Jennifer (Mike) Castle of Freeport; grandchildren Ben (Katie) Perry, Sarah (Jason) Van Heirseele, Ellen (DeJuan) Shorter, Danielle Castle, Jesse Castle; great grandchildren Abigail and Sean Perry, Olivia and Evan Van Heirseele; brother Robert (Marcia) Olson of Oswego; sister-in-law Shirley Hill; brother-in-law Kenneth Perry of Freeport Preceding her in death were her parents and an infant daughter.
