Barbara A. Shenberger, age 79 of Freeport, IL, passed away at home Sunday, December 3, 2017. Barb was born in Freeport on March 13, 1938 to Irvin and Ruth (DeWall) Loring. She married Walter "Red" Shenberger on October 9, 1954 in Dubuque, IA.

She had worked at Sanitary Laundry, Heine Plastics, Newell and later owned Red's Bronzing with her husband and son. Barb enjoyed trips to the Wisconsin Dells and going to the casino. She loved the outdoors, especially her pond. She was a Nascar fan and she enjoyed the Chicago Bears.  She loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by 4 sons, Wally (Cindy), Wayne (Cheryl), Rick (Tammy) all of Freeport, and Randy (Tootie) of Sharon, OK; 7 grandchildren, Tom (Autumn), Patty (Dave "Rooster"), Heather (J.R.), Holly (Paul), Ricky (Tanya), Mike (Chelsea), Nick (Hayley); 15 great grandchildren, Bryce, Whitney, Peyton, Karl, Hunter, Braden, Brody, Grant, Gracie, Konner, Elizabeth, Addison and Matthew, Aurora and Easton; brothers, Jim (Patti), John (Judy); and sister, Audrey Meile.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Walter "Red"; great granddaughter, Madyson Jacobs; sisters, Betty, Dorothy, Patty and Deloris (Dee Dee); and brothers, Irvin (Duck), Norman (Num) and Donald.
