Freeport: Bernice F. Wand 96, of Freeport died Tuesday October 26, 2010 at Provena St. Joseph's Home, Freeport. Born November 3, 1913 in Woodbine Illinois she was the daughter of George A. and Amanda J. H. (Kuhse) Wand. Bernice worked at Economy Fire and Casualty Insurance Company from January 1947 to November 1978. She was the last surviving member of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday October 29, 2010 at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in City Cemetery, Freeport. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Mortuary. A memorial has been established.
