Bernita Hagemann , age 79 of Davis, IL, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. She was born in Grand Mound, IA on February 26, 1941; the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Seamer) Bender, Sr. She married Robert Hagemann on July 29, 1994.

Bernita retired from Honeywell in Freeport, IL. She enjoyed working outside, especially gardening. She also enjoyed traveling, crafting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Robert of Davis; daughter, Annette (Curt) Thieleke of Swayzee, IN; son, Miles Mueller of Marion, IN; grandchildren, Careena (Parker) Smithley, Tricia (Weston) James, Allen Thieleke, Theresa Thieleke, Amanda (Pete) Jubeck, Adam (Lexi) Mueller, and Matthew Mueller; 13 great grandchildren; step-children, Rodney (Mary) Hagemann, Peggy (Jeff) Rodewald, Cynthia (Scott) Boyer, and Sandra (Mark) Kortemeier; 9 step-grandchildren; 7 step- great grandchildren; sister, Darlene (Joe) Bechard; and brothers, Roger (Mary) Bender, Dale Bender, and Gary (Sarah) Bender. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.
