Bessie Louise Sunday, 97 of Freeport died Friday June 26, 2009 at Provena St. Joseph's Home in Freeport.
Born February 18, 1912 in Prophetstown, IL she was the daughter of Edwin A. and Lena (Nafziger) Edwards. She married Howard Mershon in 1933 and he died in 1937. She then married Carl D. Sunday in March of 1939 in Ashton, IL and he died in April of 1981.
Bessie was a member of Community Reformed Church, Freeport. She had trusted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at the age of 75. She was also a past member of the Friendship club and the Alpha Club.
