Bette K. Pedersen , age 75 of Freeport, IL passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 10, 1943 in Rockford, IL to the late Stanley and Lucille (Buticofer) Martin.  Bette Married Delbert Baird on June 29, 1963.  Bette married Robert "Bob" Pedersen on June 23, 1979 in Winneshiek, IL.

She was a 1961 graduate of Dakota High School and a past member of Freeport Pilot's Organization. Bette loved painting ceramics and taking care of her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed flying and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; her sons, Jeff (Martha) Bear of Portage, WI and Kevin (Kathleen) Bear of Portage, WI; her grandchildren, Alec Bear and Madison Bear; her brother, Clifford Martin; and her sister, Judith (Nathan) Leopold. She was preceded in death by her parents.
