Freeport-Betty J. Altfillisch, 76, of Freeport, died Thursday, February 12, 2004, at the Freeport Rehabilitation & Care Center.
Born November 22, 1927 in Shullsburg, Wisconsin she was the daughter of Robert J. and Loretta L. (Winters) Dotzel. She married Alfred Altfillisch January 18, 1974.
She worked at Structo for fourteen years and then Newell for two years.
Surviving is her husband, Alfred of Freeport; two sons, Larry Holland of Rockford and Rex Holland of Forreston; one daughter, Penny Holland of Freeport; two brothers, Edward (Rosie) Dotzel of Cedarville; and Deneen Dotzel of Topeka, Kansas; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
Her parents; one son, Denny; one granddaughter, Tonya; and one sister, Corinne Clifton, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be Sunday 3 p.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Alan McLearn-Montz of Church of the Brethren officiating.
Friends may call Sunday 1 p.m. until time of service.
Following the service cremation rites will be accorded and her cremated remains will be buried in Oakland Cemetery & Mausoleum.
A memorial has been established in her name.
