Betty L. Heiden, 84, of Freeport, died Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Manor Court in Freeport.
Born August 20th, 1930 in Freeport she was the daughter of Raymond and Iva (Willis) Meyer. She married John S. Heiden March 20, 1952 in Cedarville.
Betty worked at E&W Clothing House for 30 years.
She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, and volunteered for the American Cancer Society.
Surviving are her husband, John of Freeport; two sons, Tim (Charity) Heiden of Freeport, Rick (Deb Owen) Heiden of Polo; Six Grandchildren, Jennifer & Jeremy (Elizabeth) Heiden, Sarah (Bob) Pligge & Andy Heiden and Hayley (Jason) Ganus & Amy (Toby) Barnes; nine great grandchildren; her sisters, Donna (Ron) Dornink, and Pat (Hollie) Sellman of Freeport, Elaine (Homer) Tackett of Monroe, Wisconsin; one sister-in-law, Edna Meyer, and many nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Nancy Jackson; three sisters; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2015 at St. John United Church of Christ.
Visitation will be 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Walker Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established for St. John United Church of Christ and Stephenson County Relay for Life.
