Ridott – Betty S. Plaster, 82 of Ridott passed away at Manor Court Nursing Home on December 27, 2023 following a brief illness.  She was born on November 4, 1941 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late Roy and Nellie (Thatcher) Wombles.  She married Carl Plaster in 1962 and they were married for 36 years before he was called home in 1998.  She was a minister's wife and homemaker and she absolutely loved her grandchildren and adored her great grandchildren.

Betty loved going to church and believed in Jesus.  She was raised in a religious home in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

She is survived by her son, Tom (Loraine) Plaster, 3 grandchildren – Scott (Alexa) Plaster, Amanda (Tyler) Lane and CJ Plaster.  Her 4 great grandchildren include Scarlett, Isabella, Alyce and Jack.  She also leaves behind 1 brother, Jesse Wombles of FL.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl (1998); her son, Roy (1999); 3 sisters Carolyn, Aleen and Marie and 1 brother, Jimmy.

There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 beginning at 12 pm followed by a service immediately following at 1:30 all at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Dakota, Illinois.  Condolences can be left for the family at www.walkermortuary.com.
