Freeport- Betty Lou Rose, 67, of Freeport, died Thursday, January 6, 2005, at her home. Born December 19, 1937 in Freeport she was the daughter of Lester and Mildred (Brubaker) Roach. She married Anton "Tony" Rose October 20, 1956 and he died September 6, 2003. She worked in environmental services for FHN Memorial Hospital for 22 years retiring in 2000. Betty loved her family and friends, her heart and home was always open and you never left without feeling her love and support. Surviving are two daughters, Bonita (T.J.) Lipps of Ridott and Sharon Rose of Freeport; three sons, Ronald (Lisa) Rose and Derek Rose both of Orangeville, and David (Sherry Fransen) Rose of Freeport; four sisters, Shirley Havens of Buena Vista, Beverly "Jeanie" (Dan) Raymond of Ridott, Linda Luke of Stockton and Diane (Roger) Folgate of El Derado, Missouri; Three brothers, Lester (Jeanette) Roach) of Baileyville, Robert "Bob" Roach of Ridott, Kenneth (Diane) Roach of Freeport; one Uncle Stanley Brubaker of Buena Vista and one Aunt Ruth Allman of Freeport, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and one brother Larry Roach
Funeral service and entombment will be 11:00 am Tuesday in the Chapel of Peace at Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum with Reverend John Hollis officiating.
