Beverly C. Baran, 79, of rural Freeport died Sunday January 8, 2012 at FHN Memorial Hospital Freeport. Born August 25, 1932 in Milwaukee she was the daughter of John and Hildegard (Jaeger) Lenz. On November 29, 1958 she and Frank Baran were united in marriage. She and Frank farmed in the Roscoe area for many years prior to moving to Freeport. She then worked with Crusader Home Healthcare as a Nursing assistant. She enjoyed reading romance novels. Surviving are her husband of Freeport, five daughters Jean (John) Holden of N.H., Cheryl (Gene) Paul of Durand, Dianna (Tony) Akins of Durand, Kathleen (Tim) Schuur of Ridott, Constance (Doc) Harper of Machesney Park; sister Germain Murphy of Fl; brother Allen Lenz of Elkhorn, WI; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, twin daughters and one brother.
