Beverly Lynn Davis, 67, of Freeport passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford. Born February 26, 1947 in Freeport she was the daughter of Arnold Sr. and Irene (Schulthess) Clark. She was a graduate of Freeport High School and Highland Community College. On May 26, 1978 she and Doug Davis were united in marriage in Orangeville. Beverly worked many years at Sears and FHN Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping and was talented with art and crafts. Surviving are her husband of Freeport; one sister Connie Singley of Freeport; one brother Arnold Jr. (Cheryl) Clark of Freeport; nephew Shane (Dawn) Singley of Baileyville; nieces Erica Singley Overland Park, KS, Susie (Tim) Meyerhofer of Freeport; mother-in-law Norma Jean Davis of Freeport; sisters-in-law Sally (Bob) Smull of Carriere, MS, Patty (Matt) Lernor of Scottsdale, AZ; and great nieces and great nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents. Visitation will be Monday, October 13, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 11a.m. at East Gate Christan Center in Freeport. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at East Gate with Reverend Steve Barr officiating. Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery, Freeport.
