Ridott
Beverly Last, 75, of Ridott, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother (GG), mother-in-law, and good friend, went to be with her Lord, on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at her home in Ridott surrounded by her family.
Born May 28, 1936 in Rockford, she was the daughter of Frank and Helen (Baker) Higar. She married Richard Ebert on May 24, 1957 and he died June 17, 1991. She married Clarence H. "Jim" Last on February 15, 1997.
Beverly was the Post Master at the Ridott Post Office for 35 years.
She was a member of Ridott Community Church.
Beverly enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, and baking. But most important to her was time with family. She touched the hearts of many and was a true inspiration to many more.
Surviving are her husband, Clarence of Ridott; 3 sons, Michael (Deanna) Ebert of Ridott, Martin (Susan) Ebert of Hampshire, and Matthew (Julie) Ebert of Elk Grove Village; her grandchildren, Sarah (Bradley) Wilhelms, Megan (Michael) Howard, and Jonathan Ebert; her great grandchildren, Logan and Elizabeth Wilhelms; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; first husband; infant son, Richard M. Ebert; her sister, Barbara Bellows; and her brother, Richard Higar.
A celebration of her life will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in the Willwood Cemetery in Rockford.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Walker Mortuary
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
