Blanche F. Croffoot,103, of Freeport, died Sunday, January 6, 2008, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
Born July 29, 1904 in Jo Daviess County she was the daughter of Oscar and Edna (Calhoun) Krise. She married Orville Croffoot May 4, 1921 and he died January 15, 1965. She married Francis Lee Croffoot August 26, 1978 and he died in March of 1992.
Blanche worked at Structo for 21 years.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Marian (Jack) Taber and Thelma (Edward) Entmeier both of Freeport, and Eileen (Roger) Hubb of Stockton; 2 sons, Merle Croffoot and Gerald (Eleanor) Croffoot both of Freeport; her daughter in-law, Carol Croffoot of Stockton; step daughter, Sharon Knoup of Pearl City; 10 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; 1 son; 1 step son in-law; 3 grandchildren; 1 brother; 2 daughters in-law
Funeral service will be Wednesday 11 a.m. at Walker Mortuary with Reverend Robert Phelps of Berreman Church of God rural route Mt. Carroll officiating. Burial will be Highland Cemetery in Pearl City.
Visitation will be Wednesday 10 a.m. until time of service at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for Provena St. Joseph Nursing Center.
