Brenda R. Crowell, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, began her journey to be with her Heavenly Father; surrounded by family and friends on October 3, 2022.

Brenda was born on July 7, 1944 in Morrisdale, PA to Robert and Cordelia (Evans) Kent. She was married in a quaint church in Pennsylvania to Wayne H. Crowell on May 12, 1962. They moved to Freeport, IL shortly after getting married and settled down. She worked at Micro Switch for a few years, then became a stay-at-home mother until her children were grown. She then worked at Elegance Resale Boutique for eight years until they closed. She spent the remainder of her life as a housewife.  Brenda enjoyed scrapbooking, card games, and loved spending time with family. She was very proud of her angel collection and always believed that there was always at least one angel watching over her. Several of her favorite things to do was spending summers in PA with her sister, making cookies at Christmas-time, and watching birds during the Spring and Summer.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Wayne Crowell; sister, Carol (Kent) McGarvey; son, David (Shawn) Crowell; daughters, Bridgette Crowell and Heidi (Jeff) Flynn; grandsons, Jeff (Kelsey) Crowell, Sean Crowell, Kaleb (Taylor) Flynn, and Jordan (Brittney) Flynn; great-grandchildren, Skye, Trinity, Landyn, Noah, Emma, Gavin, and Avery.  She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bob Kent and Dan Kent.

A memorial service will be held at Walker Mortuary on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Freeport.
