Bruce A. Olson, age 76 of Freeport, IL passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Pearl Pavilion in Freeport. He was born on December 29, 1941 in Savanna, IL; the son of the late Howard Sacia and Olive (Divine) Olson. He was a graduate of Freeport High School. Bruce married Bonnie Clarkson on May 2, 1964.

He had served in the United States Navy. Bruce worked at Micro Switch for 35 years until retiring. His memberships include First Lutheran Church of Freeport and the Eagles Club. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Bonnie Olson of Freeport; sons, Bret and Brandon both of Freeport; grandchildren, Azlynn and Irelyn; and sister, Judy (James) Ryan of Freeport. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry; and step-father, Alvin Olson.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Eagles Club in Freeport.
