Carla Evelyn (Tuomikoski) Klein (3/7/1959 to 1/30/2025)

Carla was born in Oconomowoc, WI, March 7, 1959. She grew up in Calumet, MI, where she met her husband, David Klein. They were married in August, 1979 and moved to Freeport, IL, where they would raise their family. She worked in mental health, public health, and advocacy systems throughout her adulthood. She was a staunch metal-head throughout her life, and you could usually find her trying out a new craft while listening to Metallica. In her later life, she enjoyed her two dogs, Ivory and Daisy.

She was preceded in death by several extended family members; her adoptive father, William Tuomikoski; her mother, Reva Tuomikoski; and her beloved husband, David A. Klein.

She is remembered and loved by her siblings: Sandra (Tom) Tuomikoski Larson, Randall Tuomikoski, Jolynn Tuomikoski, and Jack (Kelly) Tuomikoski; as well as her three children: Trevor (Samantha) Klein, Corina (Ben) Klein, and Alexander (Samantha) Klein; and her three grandchildren: Margaret Klein, David Klein, and Adalynn Klein.

She will be remembered during a celebration of life at Walker's Mortuary on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 1 to 2 PM; with a small reception at King's Bar & Grill to follow. Condolences may be shared with her family at www.walkermortuary.com.
