Carlye J. "Sue" Davis, 82, of Freeport, formerly of Rockford, died Saturday, December 27, at Stephenson Nursing Center in Freeport.

Born October 25, 1932 in Rockford she was the daughter of Carl and Nellie (Nyberg) Sjoblom.

Carlye worked for government agencies including Social Security and the Internal Revenue Service.

She was a member of Sweet Adelines in Rockford.

Surviving is her daughter, Paulette (Donald) Parker of Freeport; her step-son, James (Linda) Jennings of Machesney Park; two grandchildren, Tammy (Jason) Borman and Tonya Parker both of Freeport; five great grandchildren, Dakota, Dalton, and Kyle Borman, Lillian and Jacoby Parker all of Freeport; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; one brother; and one step-son.

Her body has been donated to science.

A memorial has been established in her name.
