Carol M.Buck, 72, of Freeport, died Saturday, October 6, 2012, at her home.
Born November 24, 1939 in Freeport she was the daughter of Leon and Esther (Noll) Wise. She married Richard "Dick" A. Buck July 22, 1960 and he died February 21, 2001.
She worked for MetLife Insurance Company in Freeport for many years retiring in 2001.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Sheri (Merlyn) Voss of Kent and Darci (Sheldon) Strohecker of Freeport; 2 grandchildren, Kylee and Corey Strohecker of Freeport; 3 sisters, Bernice Bucher of Stockton, Ilene (Donald) Rees of Lena, and JoAnn Magee of Stockton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 sister, Eula Hayden.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Walker Mortuary.
A memorial has been established for Hospice Care of America.
