Carol M. Eells, age 94 of Freeport, IL passed away on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Manor Court in Freeport. She was born September 16, 1924 in McConnell, IL to Harold and Grayce (Fisher) Kyler. She was a graduate of Winslow High School. Carol married William "Bill" Eells on June 19, 1944; he passed on August 21, 2000.

She was a bookkeeper for State Bank of Freeport and several other places in the area. She was a member of the McConnell Legion Auxiliary. Carol enjoyed sewing and crafting. She also loved bowling and playing cards. She was known for being the ultimate Cubs fan.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Stephen) DiMarco of Freeport; son, Richard (Patricia) Eells of Freeport; grandsons: Bradley, Brian, and Jeremy Eells of Janesville, WI, Seth Eells of Eugene, OR; and Robert DiMarco of Virginia; granddaughters, Melanie (Scott) Farringer of Freeport and Jennifer DiMarco of Freeport; great grandchildren, Matthew, Ethan, Briana, Rian, Alison, Hannah, Madeline, Logan, and Mikayla; daughter-in-law, Sharon Eells of Janesville, WI; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; son, John; sister, Maryetta Dickenson; and brother, Robert Kyler.
