Carol Jean Kuntz, 76, of Freeport, died Saturday, November 19, 2011, at the home of her daughter, Carolyn, in Pearl City.
Born March 29, 1935 in Freeport she was the daughter of Vernon and Leona (Moss) Kuhlemeier. She married Roger Kuntz July 12, 1952 in Freeport.
Carol attended Leaf River Schools. She worked at Crum & Forster Insurance for 37 ½ years retiring in 1990.
Her memberships included Ladies of the Eagles and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Moose.
Surviving are her husband, Roger of Freeport; 4 daughters, Connie (Gary) Ils of Orangeville, Cindy (Dennis) Foley of Freeport, Cathy (Nick) Hartwig of Freeport, and Carolyn (Dean) Hofmaster of Pearl City; 5 sisters, JoAnn Julius of Texas, DeAnn (Jerry) Edler of Freeport, Nancy (Randy) Baker of Freeport, Becky (Tom) Becker of Brodhead, Wisconsin, and Susie (Martin) Keller of Atlanta, Georgia; Vernon (Sharon) Kuhlemeier of Dakota, LaVerne Kuhlemeier and Ricky Kuhlemeier both of Freeport; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Larry Kuhlemeier; 1 sister, Bonnie Barklow; 2 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
A memorial has been established for FHN Hospice.
