Carol J. (Eggemeier) Lybarger of Davis, passed away June 6th at Stephenson Nursing Center of Freeport.
Carol was born August 20, 1950 in Freeport to Edith (Buticofer) and Earl Eggemeier. She graduated from Dakota High School in 1969. She married George Lybarger on June 24, 1972 in Davis, IL.
Carol worked for Sullivan's bakery as a cake decorator and for Super Valu. She loved to collect cookie jars and glass cat figurines. She adored her pets at home that include Diamond their dog and their cats, Peanut, Salt and Pepper.
Surviving are her husband, George, their Son Derick (Mary Stavola Olson) Lybarger of Minooka, IL; their daughter Dawn (Tom Ott) Lybarger of Monroe, WI, her sisters, Elaine (Lary) Edler of Forreston, Helen Edler of Freeport, and Darlene Eggemeier of Peoria, IL , 2 grandsons Chad and Corey Gates of Freeport and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother-in-law, Doug Edler and her daughter Deanna Lybarger Gates.
Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be memorial service at a future date.
The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at Stephenson Nursing Center and FHN Hospice for their excellent care.
