Carol J. Schoonhoven, 72, of Dakota died Wednesday March 2, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Born January 13, 1939 in Dakota she was the daughter of Raymond and Arlene (Niedermeier) Toelke. On September 29, 1957 she married Douglas A. Schoonhoven at Davis. Carol was a homemaker, caregiver and drove milk truck for 16yrs. She was a 1957 graduate of Dakota High School. Carol was member of St. Paul Church of Epleyanna, rural Davis. Carol loved her family and enjoyed craft making. She is survived by her husband of Dakota; two sons and their families, Dennis, his wife Angie and children, Travis and Tyler of Pecatonica, Terry and his wife Kathy and children Tanner and Sierra of Rock City; her mother Arlene Toelke a resident of Parkview Home, Freeport; brother Allen (Vonnie) Toelke of Dakota; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Raymond.
