Freeport: Carolyn M. Cole, 89 of Freeport died Tuesday April 29, 2008 at Stephenson Nursing Center, Freeport. Born August 7, 1917 in Scales Mound she was the daughter of Byron and Ethel (Killian) Stephens. She married Russell Cole and he preceded her in death in 1967. Carolyn worked at FHN Memorial Hospital for many years and was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two brothers, Darrell (Jane) Stephens of Freeport and Don (Gisela) Stephens of Payson, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son Michael. Funeral service and Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Chapel of Peace in Oakland Cemetery, Freeport. There will be no visitation.
