Carolyn Rose Crank, 73, of Freeport, Illinois died Monday, July 15, 2013, in the comfort of her family at home. Born April 13, 1940 in Chicago, IL. She was the cherished daughter of Lloyd Compton and Lucille Adelaide (Massey) Lloyd. She married Paul Gordon Crank on October 28, 1960. Carolyn was a volunteer with Freeport Health Network Hospice for 18 years. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
Surviving is her beloved husband, Paul Gordon of Freeport, Illinois; her two children, Sharon Lynn (Richard) Kunas of Madison, New Jersey and Andrew Andy Paul Crank of Westmont, Illinois; two brothers, Melvin Lloyd of Oregon, Illinois and Robert (Linda) Lloyd of Romeoville, Illinois; two grandchildren, Andrew Drew Richard Kunas of Manhattan, New York and Grace Carolyn Kunas of Madison, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her parents and eldest brother. Donald Lloyd.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service and celebration of Carolyn's life will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11:00 am preceded by fellowship and coffee at 10:00am at the church, Prince of Peace Lutheran, 2700 West Stephenson Street, Freeport, Illinois 61032. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Freeport Health Network Hospice, 773 West Lincoln Blvd., Suite 403, Freeport, Illinois.
