Davis – Carroll J. Lisney, 92 of Davis passed away at home with his family at his side on November 4th.  He was born on June 9, 1929 in Blue River, WI to the late Edwin and Carrie (Hanson) Lisney. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Jeanette Hartwig on November 1, 1952 in Richland Center, WI and together they raised a family.  They were a very important part of his life.

He worked for 38 years at Ingersoll Cutting and Tool.  He was also a volunteer fireman for Davis for many years.  He liked to do word search puzzles, mow, take care of his yard and go on drives in the country.  He was very outgoing and very much a people person. He liked watching football with his son, a fan of the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.  Anyone who knew him, loved him.

He is survived by his children, Deborah (Lynn) Zimmerman of Freeport; Carl Lisney of Davis; Cynthia (Steve) Brandt of Browntown, WI; and Sheila (Gerald) Karlen of Monroe, WI.  His 5 grandchildren include Carie (Joe) Panoske of Davis; Carl Lee Lisney of Rockford; Melissa Lisney of Arkansas; Tawni (Lee) Kobielak of De Pere, WI; Brianna (Noah) Thompson of Cottage Grove, MN.  He also had great grandchildren that include Nicholas, Matthew and Connor Panoske and Madelyn Kobielak as well as 4 step grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, his sisters Cleo Standish, Opal Bernhardt and Madeline Sweeney as well as his niece, Charlene Standish.

Services will be held on Tuesday November 9 ^th at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Dakota, IL with a visitation beginning at 1pm and a service to follow at 2pm.  Pastor Bob Kolb of Faith Community Church of Davis will be officiating. Burial will take place at Davis cemetery, next to his wife.
