Freeport-Cecelia A. Kritser, 92, of Freeport, died Friday, October 10, 2003, at the Stephenson Nursing Center.
Born February 11, 1911 in Crystal Falls, MI she was the daughter of Louis and Anna (Liptak) Krempasky. She married Chester Witters Jr. and he died in 1949. She married Edgar A. Kritser on January 10, 1951 in Freeport and he preceded her in death on June 23, 2003.
She was a member of Freeport Baptist Church.
In her youth she enjoyed bowling and dancing was her favorite pastime her entire life. In addition she was an avid golfer for over 30 years.
Surviving are one daughter, Gail "Marilyn" (Robert) Willis of Freeport; one son, Richard (Ruth) Witters of San Diego, California; eleven grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughter, Janet Simmons; brothers, Albert, Louis, and August Krempasky; one sister, Margaret Goodnow.
Funeral service will be Tuesday 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Malcolm Cronk officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Monday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary and on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at the church .
A memorial has been established in her name.
