Cecil L. Eldridge , age 87 of Rockford, IL passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford. He was born on July 14, 1932 to the late Roscoe and Goldie (Wilson) Eldridge.

Cecil was an electrician by trade and worked for IBEW Local 364. He had also worked as a mechanic and carpenter. In his younger years, he enjoyed flying planes and going boating.

He is survived by his son, Vern (Patricia) Eldridge of Rockford; his daughters, Kathy (Gary) McNeal of TN, Janet (Jerry) Johnson of Rockford, and Donna Moore of Rockford; his brother, Roscoe of AR; his sister, Nima McFatridge of AR; his 21 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Judy Connell; brothers, Jay, Orbra, Benton, and Billy Joe; sisters, Dotty, Becky, and Louise; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
