Cecil F. Haas, age 82 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the VA Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born on February 13, 1942 in Spring Valley, IL; the son of the late Leo and Gladys (Bloyer) Haas. He graduated from Freeport High School. Cecil served in both the United States Navy and Army.

After his service he attended Barber College and opened the Pec Barber Shop in Pecatonica, IL. He later worked at several area factories. Cecil was a former member of the Pecatonica American Legion and Lion's Club. He was a "Jack of all trades" and loved tinkering. He also enjoyed woodworking and classic cars.

He is survived by his sons, Joshua Haas and Jessie Haas both of Freeport; daughters, Lisa Jones and Chrystal Haas both of Freeport; 19 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Gladys; sons, Trevor Alan, Christopher Michael, and Jeremy Leo; and sister, Edith Hunefild.
