Cecilia Irene Taubert, 92, of Plainfield, formerly of Freeport, died Monday, June 20, 2011 at The Park of Plainfield.
Born May 8, 1919 in Byron, she was the daughter of Denton and Florence (Lockwood) Noyes. She married Lyall Taubert February 27, 1943. He died November 13, 2007. Cecilia and Lyall were happily married for 64 years.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Freeport.
Cecilia's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Patricia (Don) Bennett of Plainfield; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer (Aaron) Berk of Aurora and Heather Bennett of Plainfield; ; 3 great grandchildren, Ian, Alaina, and Halle Berk all of Aurora; 1 brother, Eugene Noyes of Loveland, Colorado; 2 sister-in-laws, Jean Norsworthy of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Ramona Noyes of Genoa; numerous nieces and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 son, Gregory; 3 sisters, Loretta, Margaret, and Helen; 3 brothers, Lawrence, George, and Francis.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Freeport. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
Visitation will be Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. at Walker Mortuary where at 7 p.m. there will be a prayer service.
A memorial has been established for St. Joseph Catholic Church.
